Pricing

Simple, transparent pricing for every job

Creating an account for one property is free. When you request work, you pay the approved cost of the repair plus applicable fees - and you approve every total before the job begins.

One Property - Free

"Free" means your account and property access are free - there is no subscription and no credit card required to use TaskNuts for a single property. It does not mean repairs are free. When you request a repair or project, you pay the approved cost of that work plus the fees below.

How Job Pricing Works

1

Tell TaskNuts what needs fixed.

Describe the repair or project, or snap a photo.

2

Receive your job pricing.

TaskNuts generates a price for the work using real labor and material estimates.

3

See the total, including fees.

Your total shows the repair cost, the platform fee, and payment & payout processing.

4

Approve the total.

Nothing is released until you review and approve the full amount.

5

TaskNuts offers the job to qualified contractors.

Once approved, the job is matched with a verified contractor.

20%platform fee

A 20% platform fee applies to the labor and materials actually charged for your job.

What it supports

  • Marketplace operation and contractor matching
  • Trust Engine™ and contractor verification infrastructure
  • Job management, documentation, and before/after photos
  • Approval and payment workflow

Payment & Payout Processing

3.9%+ $0.30 per transaction

A 3.9% fee covers two things: card processing and the fast payout to your contractor. A $0.30 per-transaction fee also applies. The homeowner funds the contractor's fast payout as part of this fee.

Your total is the approved repair cost plus the 20% platform fee plus 3.9% payment & payout processing plus $0.30. You see and approve this total before the job is released.

No surprises. You approve first.

You always see the full total - repair cost, platform fee, and payment & payout processing - and approve it before the job is offered to contractors. Change orders after work starts also require your approval. Your card is not charged for work you did not approve.

See the Payment & Cancellation Policy and Customer Service Agreement for the full details.

What If the Job Changes?

Two simple rules cover price changes, so you're never surprised.

Before work starts

If you and the contractor agree to increase the labor before the job begins, the original 20% platform fee does not increase. You only pay the additional 3.9% payment & payout processing on the added amount.

After work has started

An approved change order is subject to the 20% platform fee and 3.9% payment & payout processing. You must approve the change order before it is processed.

In limited cases a contractor may have a transaction-related cost - for example, when using the TaskNuts/Home Depot purchasing account for materials, 1% of the material purchase is withheld from that contractor's payout. This is not a homeowner fee.
