Trust Engine™ & Trust Performance Index (TPI™)

Effective Date: July 19th, 2026

Trust Can't Be Bought.

At TaskNuts, we believe homeowners shouldn't choose contractors based solely on advertising or easily manipulated online reviews.

Instead, TaskNuts uses the Trust Engine™ to evaluate marketplace performance using real operational data.

What Is the Trust Engine™?

The Trust Engine™ is TaskNuts' proprietary contractor evaluation system.

Rather than relying exclusively on public reviews, it analyzes a broad range of marketplace performance indicators to help identify contractors who consistently deliver quality service.

The resulting Trust Performance Index (TPI™), also referred to as the Trust Score, helps customers make informed decisions while rewarding contractors for excellent work.

What May Influence Trust Scores?

While the specific calculation is proprietary, factors may include:

Job completion history On-time arrival Customer satisfaction Communication responsiveness Completion quality Repeat customer requests Reliability Cancellation history No-show history Safety concerns Platform policy compliance Identity verification status Insurance verification Licensing verification (where applicable) Dispute history Marketplace participation

Not every factor applies equally to every contractor.

What Doesn't Influence Trust Scores?

TaskNuts does not sell rankings.

The following do not improve a contractor's Trust Score:

Advertising purchases Sponsored listings Subscription upgrades Marketplace fees Personal relationships Payment for preferred placement

Trust is earned through performance—not purchased.

Why Not Just Use 5-Star Reviews?

Traditional reviews represent only one person's opinion.

The Trust Engine™ considers a broader picture of contractor reliability, consistency, and marketplace performance to provide a more meaningful measure of trust.

Customer reviews remain valuable but are only one component of the overall evaluation.

Can Contractors Improve Their Trust Score?

Yes.

Contractors improve their standing by consistently providing excellent service, communicating effectively, completing jobs professionally, and maintaining compliance with TaskNuts marketplace standards.

Appeals & Corrections

If a contractor believes information affecting their Trust Score is inaccurate, they may contact TaskNuts for review.

TaskNuts may investigate reported inaccuracies and correct verified errors where appropriate.

Proprietary System

Continuous Improvement

The Trust Engine™ evolves over time.

TaskNuts may add, remove, or adjust evaluation factors to improve marketplace safety, fairness, and reliability without prior notice.
